Tiredness or fatigue implies a feeling shortage of energy or motivation. The cause may be mental or physical, for example, infection, sleeping disorder, allergies.

If you are feeling constantly tired, you should have a general medical examination.

But if you face this condition periodically, there are some easy ways that can help you boost the energy. Please be aware that herbal supplements may have side effects and interfere with prescription medicine, so it is wise to consult your doctor before you take them.

Deluxe Energizing Bath

  • Step 1

Stir a glass of sea salt with a glass of baking soda in a small container with a secure cover.

  • Step 2

Add 7 drops of lavender oil, 2 drops of peppermint oil and 3 drops of rosemary oil to the mixture of salt and baking soda. Mix it well. The rosemary and peppermint oils include energizing, vitalizing properties and the lavender has a bracing effect.

  • Step 3

Prepare a hot bathtub, pour the mixture in and enjoy for 15 minutes.

Take a cold shower.

Other things that help:

  • Take B complex vitamin containing no less than 30mg of B-5 vitamin – pantothenic acid. Shortage of this certain vitamin is related to exhaustion of the adrenal glands. Generally, B complex vitamins are responsible for maintaining a healthy nervous system and vital organism.
  • Two times in the day take 250 mg Siberian ginseng for 2 weeks. Then take 2 weeks pause, before start taking it again.  Make sure it has the important active ingredient – eleutheroside because it is considered helpful in restoring healthy adrenal functioning and lifting physical and mental energy. Some studies conducted on volunteers showed memory improvement. University of Maryland Medical Center website published that Siberian ginseng increases natural immunity.
  • Eat a lot of green leafy vegetables, potatoes and lentils, oranges, every food that is rich in potassium because it is important for protection against fatigue. One  Australian study from 2004 found that people who had chronic fatigue syndrome included a lower level of potassium in comparison to the healthy people.
  • Put 3 drops of orange oil, 2 drops of clary sage oil, 2 drops of coriander oil and 1 drop each of helichrysum oil, jasmine oil, vetiver oil and palmarosa oil with 1 tsp. jojoba oil in a blender. Mix it well. Then you need to sniff the mixture or use it as a perfume for an instant burst of energy.


Siberian ginseng is not recommended for people with high blood pressure, obstructive sleep apnea or narcolepsy and for pregnant or breastfeeding women.
